Site Report - Spring 2008.

The new sailing season will soon be upon us and to this end the Site Committee have been working hard to further develop key areas around the Moymore Site.

The main areas that have been focused on for the incoming season are: -

Resurfacing EDYC Site.

The Commodore and myself have met with W J McDowell and Partners to discuss the upgrading of the roadways, car parking areas and main boat park to a concrete surface.

W J McDowell's have provided the Executive Committee with a Preliminary Appraisal Report complete with costing.

The Executive Committee will be up dating you in due course with our proposals with regard to this work.

Upgrading of Slipway.

The slipway is showing signs of its age and usage, the Site Committee has requested a specialist Contractor / Concrete Product Supplier carry out inspection of the slipway and provide us with costing and methods as to how to repair / resurface this area.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind all members this is your club and that ALL buildings, services and equipment should be treated with respect (our maintenance costs are climbing rapidly), therefore if something is broken or requires attention DO NOT leave for the next user to report the fault.

It has been brought to my attention that a member of EDYC has decided to remove a number of trees from the peninsula area of the site. The Executive Committee have been informed of the situation and will be taking whatever necessary steps to rectify the situation.

I would draw ALL Members attention to the fact that no work, modifications or changes can be carried out on any property of EDYC without the prior approval of the Executive Committee.
